As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting advanced medical devices. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and testers within the Ventilation Business of Sleep & Respiratory Care to develop and market Class 2 medical devices.
You will be involved in all aspects of systems engineering under the Philips V-model, from conceptualization, requirements definition, and functional design to verification, validation, integration, and final approval.
Your work will involve supporting system architects and engineers, using a model-based approach with the latest tools to enhance efficiency and deliver high-quality healthcare solutions.
✔ Implement systems engineering principles for medical device design while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
✔ Define User Requirements, System Requirements, FMEA, Architecture, Interfaces, and Control Strategies to meet industry standards.
✔ Conduct system design analysis, evaluate key components, and coordinate manufacturing and design integration.
✔ Collaborate with teams to develop and execute verification & validation plans.
✔ Ensure regulatory compliance by integrating risk analysis, safety assessments, and industry standards into product development.
✔ Conduct design reviews to ensure products are manufacturable, functional, and reliable.
✔ Lead systems engineering initiatives within R&D projects across the business.
✔ Manage system engineering data, ensuring traceability of requirements, risks, design decisions, and testing results.
✔ Promote best practices in systems engineering through training, mentoring, and global knowledge-sharing.
✔ Identify areas for improvement within Philips’ businesses and develop actionable recommendations and tailored workshops.
✔ Conduct cross-discipline feasibility studies to evaluate electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic performance from subsystem to system levels.
✔ Support teams in problem resolution, defect management, and technical decision-making.
✔ Review System Verification & Validation (V&V) plans, Test Method Validation (TMV), and Change Management processes.
