Job Description

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex technical issues in a serverless AWS environment.
• Build and maintain tools to support a broadcast-grade SaaS platform.
• Continuously analyze and improve day-to-day technical operations.
• Ensure systems are designed with reliability, maintainability, and ease of use in mind.
• Communicate effectively with the team and management.
• Provide system support and troubleshooting, occasionally outside of regular office hours.
• Promote best practices for development and system operations.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong interest in emerging software engineering technologies and practices.
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
• Deep understanding of serverless and SaaS operations best practices.
• Expertise in distributed, scalable, and high-availability systems (CAP theorem).
• Extensive experience with AWS services and tools, including:
  • CloudFormation, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EC2, S3, AWS CLI, Boto3, etc.
• Experience working with and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins & AWS CodePipeline.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Strong database knowledge (both relational and NoSQL).
• Extensive experience with Python is a plus.
• Ability to manage time and priorities efficiently.
• Strong sense of ownership, customer service, and integrity.

Experience

• 5+ years in a relevant role.

Our team works with high-quality video in both real-time and non-real-time scenarios, covering a range of cutting-edge technologies. We specialize in areas such as:

• Low-level video manipulation and analysis
• Backend management and orchestration services
• Web-based UI development
• Scientific Computing (computer vision, data science, machine learning)

Technology Stack

• Backend: Serverless microservices in AWS using Python, Rust, Java.
• Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, NgRx.
• CI/CD: AWS, Jenkins, Nexus, Bazel, and in-house release management.
