About the Role

As a Software Engineer – Demand Forecasting, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge forecasting solutions for global industries. You will work with diverse technologies—from Python and PySpark to o9’s proprietary database and UI—and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

???? Software Development & Solution Design:

• Collaborate with product teams to deliver demand forecasting execution products for various industries.

• Design, develop, and document technical solutions—including data models and scripts.

• Build and optimize software using Python, PySpark, and o9’s proprietary technologies (IBPL and UI configuration).

???? Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Create and execute test plans, document issues, and track progress toward resolution.

• Ensure data integrity through robust data integration and mapping.

???? Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:

• Participate in requirement gathering and design discussions with consulting teams, presales, and customers.

• Work closely with cross-functional and global teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

What You’ll Need

✅ Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms is essential.

• Proficiency in Python is a must. Familiarity with C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, Java, or PySpark is desirable.

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, PySpark) and databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Delta Lake).

• Deep understanding of system design and scalability optimization.

• Hands-on experience with software development best practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, Unit Testing).

• Data Science experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed Tier-1 institution.

• Preferred disciplines: Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
