About the Role: Web Isolation Engineer (Tech Lead)

Menlo Security is looking for talented engineers to join our Indian Web Isolation team. You will be responsible for the technical leadership of the team, working on world-class remote browser technology for both desktop and mobile platforms.

This role involves working on cutting-edge projects, including:
✔ Chromium internals
✔ Networking
✔ Video/audio processing
✔ Advanced HTML5 features
✔ Containerization & load balancing
✔ Scaling and cost optimization
✔ Cybersecurity & secure browsing solutions

The Web Isolation team is highly experienced and collaborative, with a strong design and code review culture. Candidates with deep systems-level experience in related technology areas are encouraged to apply, even if they don’t have direct browser development experience.

This Tech Lead role may transition into a formal management position as the team grows.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have:

✔ Excellent C++ programming skills
✔ Strong knowledge of Python and JavaScript
✔ Strong networking fundamentals
✔ Systems-level experience with Linux
✔ Ability to write clean, concise, and maintainable code
✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills
✔ Proactive mindset with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
✔ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to documentation
✔ BSc or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field

Highly Desirable:

✔ Experience with browser platforms (Chromium internals, content, browser core, compositor, Skia, networking)
✔ Strong knowledge of HTTP security
✔ Experience with:

• Tornado
• HAProxy
• Amazon AWS / Google GCP
• WebGL / WebRTC
• Redis
