Job Overview

American Automation is seeking a Regional Project Manager responsible for the sales and development of premium automation products tailored for India. The role involves making technical presentations to clients, analyzing business and technical needs, and recommending appropriate products. You will also manage regional sales engineers and work closely with local vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Development:

  • Drive sales of premium American automation products designed for India.
  • Make technical presentations to clients and perform business and technical needs analysis.
  • Suggest appropriate products based on customer requirements.
  • Follow up on sales leads and generate your own through phone calls and emails.
  • Manage direct sales to clients and assist local vendors in the area.

• Training & Support:

  • Train vendor sales engineers on the company's product offerings.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the vendor network.

• Client & Market Engagement:

  • Visit client accounts in the assigned marketing region.
  • Attend local expos, trade shows, technical forums, and conferences.

• Regional Leadership:

  • Oversee and manage activities of sales engineers in 12 regions across India.
  • Handle key sales responsibilities in one of the 75 marketing areas identified by the company.

• Travel & Training:

  • Participate in training programs on key selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Travel to the US occasionally for specialized training.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Proven track record of significant sales of technical products in any industry.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience and 2 years of leadership/management experience for Regional Project Manager role.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong aptitude for computers and mechatronics concepts.
  • Aggressive, dynamic, and confident with excellent communication skills in both English and local languages.
  • Good presentation skills for both small and large audiences.
  • Understanding of the basic sales process and eagerness to develop advanced selling skills from world-renowned experts.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
