The UN newsroom is looking for interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in producing daily news, in-depth features, and multimedia content in Hindi. The intern’s responsibilities will include:

• Drafting Hindi news articles by integrating and translating information from reports, press releases, official statements, and resolutions.
• Proofreading news articles before and after publication.
• Conducting fact-checking and background research.
• Assisting in the production of graphic, visual, and audio content.
• Working on feature stories, conducting research and interviews, and drafting feature pieces.
• Reviewing the partnerships database by collaborating with the UN Partnerships Unit to identify new digital media and fact-checking partners.
• Performing other assigned duties, including outreach.

Qualifications & Special Skills:

To qualify for this internship with the United Nations New Delhi Headquarters Internship Programme, Department of Global Communications, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Education:

   • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program (Master’s or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, English, or translation studies; OR
   • Be enrolled in or have completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.

2. Skills & Competencies:

   • Proficiency in standard software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
   • Demonstrated interest in the United Nations' work and a commitment to its principles.
   • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
