About bp Customers & Products (C&P) and the Role

As bp transitions into an integrated energy company, the Customers & Products (C&P) business area is establishing a Business and Technology Centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This new centre supports enhanced customer experience, global innovation, and ERP transformation efforts by leveraging technology and expertise at scale.

The Process Expert – Finance ERP will work as part of the Quantum ERP Programme, a global initiative aimed at standardizing, simplifying, and transforming business processes across 79+ countries.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Act as a core team member in the C&P Finance ERP workstream, supporting process development and transformation
✅ Collaborate across cross-functional global teams including users, project members, SMEs, and technology partners
✅ Analyze and define user and business requirements for financial workflows
✅ Translate those into implementable solutions within the Quantum ERP framework
✅ Support ERP deployment cycles, release planning, and solution confirmation
✅ Provide risk identification and recommend mitigations in alignment with ERP objectives
✅ Contribute to change impact assessments, training, and readiness plans
✅ Support best practices across multiple geographies and cultural contexts

Qualifications & Skills:

???? Education:

• University degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or relevant fields

• Professional qualification or extensive experience in C&P finance business processes

???? Experience:

• Extensive ERP transformation experience (ideally across multiple regions/businesses)

• Strong knowledge of SAP systems and finance process design

• Experience working in a matrixed global organization with diverse stakeholders

???? Skills & Competencies:

• ✅ Expert in process architecture and analytical thinking

• ✅ Skilled in change management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking

• ✅ High proficiency in SAP, business process improvement, and agility practices

• ✅ Excellent communicator with strong influencing and interpersonal skills

Collaborators & Stakeholders:

You will work closely with:

• C&P Finance ERP workstream team

• Global process owners (GPOs), leads, and SMEs

• Business users and Quantum programme partners (SAP & Accenture)

• Technology teams including architects and analysts
