Position Overview

We’re looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) experienced in MySQL / MariaDB and MongoDB to join our Bengaluru office. This is a full-time role, offering opportunities to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and optimize MySQL / MariaDB and MongoDB databases.

• Design new databases based on company/customer requirements.

• Create and manage SQL queries and scripts; automate routine tasks.

• Implement and monitor database replication and ensure data redundancy.

• Perform performance tuning, patch management, and schema updates.

• Manage user access, database security, backup, and archival.

• Review logs, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.

• Handle data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.

• Maintain high availability (HA) and ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate on on-call support rotation and incident response.

• Maintain regular reports and assist with report generation.

• Ensure compliance and security hardening across systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of production experience managing MySQL / MariaDB.

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB in production.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.

• Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrades, replication, and backup processes.

• Working knowledge of Linux systems (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, etc.).

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.

• Experience handling production issues, performance bottlenecks, and HA setups.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and process automation skills.

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and on-call schedules.
