Job Summary

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, testing, automating, and deploying cloud-based solutions. You will collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to design and implement managed cloud services, solve complex problems, and optimize performance.

Prior experience in Filesystems is a plus. You should also be able to quickly learn existing code and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Cloud Development & Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions.
• Implement and manage REST APIs and cloud service integrations.
• Work with Filesystems and distributed system design.
• Optimize scalability, performance, and reliability of cloud applications.

✅ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):

• Support customers of Google Cloud NetApp Volumes in troubleshooting production issues.
• Monitor, analyze, and enhance system health, availability, and latency using Google native tools.
• Engage in incident management and on-call rotations to ensure SLAs/SLOs are met.

✅ Technical Expertise & Coding:

• Proficient in C, C++, or Golang (Python, Java, or C# is a plus).
• Strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with hypervisors, cloud storage, networking, and database services.

✅ Cloud & Container Technologies:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud APIs.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other container-based technologies.
• Work with cloud infrastructure (Databases, Caching, Object & Block Storage, Load Balancers, Monitoring).

✅ Collaboration & Mentorship:

• Work closely with product, engineering, and customer support teams.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product development & cloud services.
• Mentor new team members and contribute to high-performance teams.

Qualifications & Experience

✔ 4+ years of hands-on coding experience in cloud engineering or software development.
✔ B.E/B.Tech or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
✔ Experience in cloud computing, storage solutions, and distributed systems.
✔ Strong problem-solving, design, and debugging skills.
✔ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
