About the Role

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Analyst/Associate for its Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Operations Team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on overseeing processes related to the EDD program and partnering with business units to support financial transactions, develop effective controls, and manage client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate implementation and evaluation of control frameworks embedded in business processes.

• Support operational services to drive growth in Wealth Management and U.S. Banks businesses.

• Collaborate with Private Bankers, Lending Advisors, and Branch Risk Officers to maintain effective client onboarding and due diligence processes.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks governing financial institutions.

• Collect and validate documentation for new and existing clients in alignment with the firm’s KYC (Know Your Customer) program.

• Investigate and verify the source of wealth for high-risk Morgan Stanley clients.

• Perform due diligence reviews, particularly for high-risk customers.

• Manage multiple and changing priorities efficiently in a dynamic work environment.

• Partner with various business units to ensure proper adherence to EDD procedures while ensuring a smooth client experience.

• Handle incoming CDD (Customer Due Diligence) case assignments and meet strict deadlines.

• Draft and update onboarding procedures and desktop guidance documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1–7 years in BSA/AML regulations, preferably in financial services or regulatory bodies (e.g., FINRA, SEC, OCC, Federal Reserve).

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.

• Expertise: Strong knowledge of KYC, CIP (Customer Identification Program), and EDD requirements.

• Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Ability to assess clients’ source of wealth

  • High attention to detail and multitasking capability
