Job Summary

As an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will support both AP and AR functions for one of our esteemed clients. Your responsibilities will include invoice processing, payment handling, and maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring smooth financial operations and fostering strong vendor and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP) Duties

• Receive and process invoices with proper documentation and authorization.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and verify received documents.
• Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process payment batches for approval.
• Maintain and organize AP records and documents.
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments.
• Respond to internal and external payment inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain and update vendor information in the database.
• Generate AP reports and assist with data analysis.
• Assist in payment runs and electronic payment distribution.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Duties

• Generate and issue client invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain accurate customer payment records, credits, and adjustments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Process and record incoming payments (checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments).
• Coordinate with clients on payment schedules and overdue accounts.
• Prepare and analyze AR aging reports to track outstanding invoices.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures for accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of experience in AP and/or AR functions.
• Experience in a multinational company (US/UK preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data manipulation and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially in discrepancy resolution and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Works independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
